A personal foul occurs when there is illegal contact between two opponents. A
player who makes more than five personal fouls will be excluded from the
A foul made on a player attempting a shot results in the awarding of the same number of free-throws as those of the shot taken (two from inside the arc, three from outside). If a player is fouled but makes the attempted shot, the shot counts and an additional free-throw will be awarded.
Once a team has made four fouls in a period, each additional foul (on a player not attempting a shot) will result in the automatic awarding of two free-throws.
The ball used is of standard size. If it bursts while in play, the game is stopped
and resumed by dropping the ball between two players from opposing sides.
Number of players
Each team will have no more than 11 on field player (excluding extras). A match will not start or continue if there are less than seven players in a team.
The length of a match will be 60 minutes, played in two equal halves of 30 minutes.Additional minutes in match may be played at the end of each half to compensate for the lost time during the game.
The added minutes are called “injury period” and should not be confused with the overtime.
Start/restart of play
The team which kicks off the ball at the beginning of the match is determined by tossing a coin.During the kick-off in football, only two players will be allowed inside the centre circle: the one kicking and the one receiving the ball.
Ball in and out of play
If the ball rebounds off the referee, an assistant referee, a goal post, crossbar, or corner flag post and remains inside the field, then it is still in play.
Fouls and misconducts
The following are the most common fouls in football: kicking, tripping, pushing, or charging another player recklessly, striking or attempting to strike an opponent or any member of the opposing side.
A foul is called if a player: makes a tackle but hits the player before the ball; deliberately handles the ball (except the goalkeeper in his proper area); or if he uses excessive force in defending an opponent.
Matches shall be played according to the International Rules of T20 matches
as adapted from time to time from the Cricket Control Board in India unless
otherwise modified in these rules.
There will be a free hit given on a NO BALL if it is an over heighted ball or it is a case of overstepping beyond the Crease line.
Run count will be considered on an over throw (all kinds).
All types of extra scoring will be considered.
The league matches will be of 12 overs and a team has to take 3 power plays.
The semi-final matches will be of 14 overs and a team has to take 4 power plays.
The final match will of 16 overs and a team has to take 6 power plays.
LBW will not be considered and no demand for a decision review shall be entertained.
All equipment for the sport must be carried by the team itself, excluding the ball and stumps.
A Team has 6 players on the court .Libero must have a different colour jersey
and is only allowed to play in the back row.
Back Row Attack
Back row players cannot attack the ball front row. If they attack, they have to perform the jump behind the attack line.
It is ALLOWED to play the ball off the net. It is a fault, if the ball contacts net outside antennas.The ball has to travel between the antennas when flying to the other side of the net.
In or Out?
Referee calls the ball “IN”, if any part of it hits the lines.
Ball is ruled OUT, if the ball lands outside the boundary lines (without touching the opponent).
Contacting the Ball
Players are NOT allowed to catch, hold or throw the ball.
Players are NOT allowed to hit or block the opponents serve.
Attacking ball which is coming over the net is ILLEGAL, if it has NOT broken the plane of the net. In other words the player is ALLOWED to swing the ball when it breaks the plane of the net.
blocking a ball does not count as a touch. Same player cannot hit the ball twice in a row (EXCEPTION I: block doesn’t count as a touch.)
